Bacon is the perfect ingredient to make anything tender and salty without adding extra oils or seasonings. Add just a pinch of pepper to fresh zucchini spears, and the bacon does the rest. Keto-fy all your veggies with a strip of bacon!
Ingredients
- 12 ounce zucchini
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper, ground
- 4 slice – 6" long bacon
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 375 degrees. Cut a medium size zucchini into 8 spears and lay them on a seasoned sheet tray. Sprinkle the black pepper over the flesh of the zucchini.
- Cut 4 long pieces of bacon into halves, making 8 pieces total. Wrap a piece of bacon around each zucchini spear, tucking the ends under the spears.
- Bake the tray for 25 min – until the bacon is crisp and the zucchini tender.
