These sweet and smoky almonds and pepitas are coated in mustard powder, paprika and maple flavored syrup before being baked until golden.
These make a great portable snack between meals.
Ingredients
- 1 cup almonds, raw
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 tablespoon maple flavored syrup by lakanto
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon gourmet collection smoked paprika by mccormick
- ½ cup raw pepitas by trader joe's
- ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Add the almonds and pepitas to a mixing bowl and stir to combine.
- Add the mustard powder, paprika, salt, maple flavored syrup and olive oil. Use your hands to rub the oil, syrup and seasonings all over the nuts and seeds.
- Arrange across a shallow oven tray and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden. Cool completely and store in a clean airtight container.
