Ingredients
- 9 ounce camembert cheese
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon xylitol sweetener
- 2 teaspoon pecans
- 1 teaspoon rosemary fresh
- ½ small red onions
- ½ tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- ½ tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 360 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove the wrapping from the camembert and very carefully use a sharp knife to remove the top layer of rind from the cheese. Place the cheese back into the box and score the top.
- Slice the garlic and chop the rosemary leaves, inserting them into the scores in the cheese.
- Place the cheese in the box onto a shelf in the middle of the oven. Bake for 20 minutes until melted and gooey.
- While the cheese bakes, add the onion, oil, vinegar and xylitol to a frying pan over a low/medium heat. Fry gently until sticky, sweet and caramelized, stirring frequently. This should take about 20 minutes.
- To serve, top the melted cheese with the sweet onions and crumble the pecans over the top.
