These tangy green beans are cooked until tender then sautéed in a sweet and spicy maple mustard dressing.
These are a great addition to Sunday lunch, perfect with roasted pork!
Ingredients
- 5 ounce green beans (string beans), raw
- 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoon maple flavored syrup by lakanto
- 1 clove garlic
- ¾ teaspoon mustard
- ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Add the green beans to a small saucepan of boiling water. Add a little pinch of salt and simmer for 3-4 minutes until fork tender. Drain completely and steam dry.
- Whilst the beans are cooking, add the lakanto syrup, mustard, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and a pinch of salt and pepper to a small bowl. Whisk together until smooth.
- Heat the remaining oil in a skillet over a low/medium heat. Crush the garlic and add to the pan, sweating gently until tender. Add the green beans and cook for a minute more.
- Drizzle over the maple mustard dressing and stir well to combine. Increase the heat and cook for 30-40 seconds more until hot through.
