These jumbo pork meatballs are filled with a cream cheese, parmesan and basil center and baked until golden.
These are great served with a hearty salad or a portion of zucchini noodles.
Ingredients
- 17 ½ ounce ground pork
- 3 tablespoon cream cheese spread
- 2 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1 tablespoon basil, fresh
- 1 tablespoon, grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Add the ground pork to a mixing bowl along with the oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix well with your hands to combine.
- Divide the pork mince into 8 even portions and flatten into patties with your hands across a shallow oven tray.
- Add the cream cheese and parmesan to a mixing bowl. Finely chop the basil and add to the bowl along with a pinch of black pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Place a heaped teaspoon of cream cheese in the center of each patty.
- Carefully mold the edges of the pork up around the cream cheese filling, securing it in the center.
- Transfer to the oven to bake for 18-20 minutes or until the pork is golden and completely cooked through.
