About

If you’re looking for a healthy side to your meal, this pan roasted asparagus is an excellent choice! These green veggies are low on carbohydrates. They’re firm enough to cook to a nice crisp, so the edges give you a little crunch and the inside of the vegetable is tender. You only need 4 ingredients to cook your asparagus, so this is an easy recipe!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce asparagus
  • ½ tablespoon butter
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Cut both ends off the asparagus, and place all the stalks in a large, shallow skillet. Cover the asparagus with water, and cook the asparagus over medium heat for approx. 7 minutes – until the asparagus is al dente.
  2. Drain the water and transfer the asparagus to a cutting board. Chop the cooled asparagus into small pieces.
  3. Next, melt the butter in the same skillet over medium-low heat. Toss in the asparagus, salt and pepper.
  4. Let the asparagus cook until the sides begin to brown. Then, stir in the worcestershire and give the ingredients a gentle toss. Continue cooking until the asparagus is browned and crispy. Serve hot!
