Obtain ground Italian sausage at your local grocery store or simply remove the casings from your favorite sausage links to make these patties! This recipe leaves it open to add your favorite toppings at your discretion. Treat your Italian sausage patty like a burger, adding your favorite keto condiments and garnishes.

Ingredients

  • 9 ⅓ ounce ground mild italian sausage by archer farms
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 ½ ounce mixed greens
  • 1 ½ ounce cucumber, raw, with peel
  • 1 ½ ounce grape tomato
  • 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice, fresh
  • ½ teaspoon white wine vinegar by alessi
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper, ground
  • ½ teaspoon garlic, fresh
  • ⅛ teaspoon crushed red pepper by simply organic
  • 2 teaspoon, grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix together ground Italian sausage and form into 4 ½ oz portions. Heat a ½ tsp of olive oil per serving in a pan over medium heat and place the patties in the hot oil. Press them down flat with the back of a spatula.
  2. Place a lid over the pan and cook the patties for approx. 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through. Set the cooked patties aside to rest and keep warm during the remainder of the recipe.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped greens, thin-sliced cucumber, and halved grape tomatoes. Add in all remaining ingredients to the mixing bowl and toss the salad until all the veggies are coated.
  4. Serve 1 sausage patty with a fair share of salad and enjoy.
