These diced steak bites are coated in a Cajun spiced tomato marinade; quickly pan fried until golden brown on the outside and tender in the middle.
This is a versatile recipe perfect for serving with rice, zucchini noodles or in lettuce wraps!
Ingredients
- 14 ounce beef steak, sirloin, no visible fat eaten
- 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon tomato puree
- 1 teaspoon gourmet collection smoked paprika by mccormick
- 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
- ½ teaspoon red pepper (cayenne), ground
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Dice the steak into bite sized chunks and add to a mixing bowl.
- Add the tomato purée, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, oregano, salt and pepper to a small mixing bowl. Stir together well to combine.
- Spoon the tomato mixture over the beef and use your hands to coat thoroughly in the marinade. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Heat the remaining olive oil in a frying pan over a high heat. Add the coated steak pieces and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side or until cooked to preference.
