Turkey burgers are so delicious! They taste excellent when topped with fresh veggies, like spinach and peppers. Cheddar cheese also happens to complement lean turkey very well. We took a burger and turned it into a casserole, so you can enjoy all the flavor minus the bun.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- 10 ounce cauliflower, raw
- ½ tablespoon olive oil
- 1 ounce spinach
- 3 ounce red bell peppers, raw
- ⅓ cup, shredded cheddar cheese
- ⅓ cup, shredded cheddar cheese, natural
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet on high heat. Place in the ground turkey with salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika.
- Cook the ground turkey until browned and much of the liquid evaporated. Discard of any remaining liquid when done.
- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees and prepare an 8×10 baking dish with pan spray. Chop and arrange the cauliflower at the bottom of the dish. Drizzle the olive oil across the cauliflower.
- Transfer half of the cooked turkey into the baking dish and spread it over the cauliflower. Sprinkle the first amount of cheddar cheese over the turkey as well.
- Next, create a layer of spinach. Then, chop and distribute the red bell pepper over the spinach.
- Finally, spread the remaining ground turkey on the top of the baking dish. Sprinkle the final amount of cheese over the turkey too,
- Bake the casserole, uncovered, for 30 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
- Slice into 6 slices for serving!
