Marinated olives are so delicious and are a great appetizer to have when guests come over. They can be made ahead of time and served with keto almond crackers. Great for the holidays!
Ingredients
- 7 ounce pitted kalamata olives by mezzetta
- 3 ounce feta cheese
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon oregano, ground
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes by 365
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest by tesco
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon, chopped parsley, fresh
- 4 clove garlic
Instructions
- Mix the kalamata olives and feta cheese together.
- Then add the olive oil and all the spices. Zest some lemon zest into the bowl, about a teaspoon along with some fresh lemon juice (2 teaspoons). Chop some fresh parsley and slice fresh garlic and add that to the bowl. Mix well.
- Place olives and feta in the refrigerator and let it marinate at least 24 hours up to 7 days. The more days the better in terms of allowing the flavors to mingle and saltiness of olives to decrease.
