This simple but tasty dip is rich with cream cheese, aromatic oregano, zesty lemon, garlic and sweet roasted bell peppers.
This is a great dip for low carb veggies or spreading on keto crackers. Although jarred bell peppers have been used you can also roast your own peppers.
Ingredients
- 9 ounce cream cheese
- 2 medium – 2 1/2" diameter x 2 3/4" red bell peppers, sweet, raw or blanched, marinated in oil mixture
- 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1 teaspoon lemon peel or zest raw
- 1 clove garlic
- ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Drain the peppers and pat dry to remove any excess liquid. Add to a food processor along with the cream cheese, oregano, garlic, lemon zest, salt and pepper.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
