These rich and creamy baked eggs are the ultimate breakfast indulgence or would make a great base for lunch accompanied by a simple salad.
Although grated cheddar has been used, this can be replaced like for like with your preferred grated cheese.
Ingredients
- 4 medium raw egg whole
- 2 tablespoon heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon, grated parmesan cheese
- â…“ cup, grated cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon unsalted butter
- ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
- â…› teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 320 degrees Fahrenheit and boil a kettle of water.
- Butter 2 large ramekins and crack two eggs into the base of each.
- Season the eggs with the salt and pepper and sprinkle over the cheddar and parmesan.
- Drizzle each with a tablespoon of cream.
- Place the ramekins in a deep baking tray and half fill the tray with the boiling water.
- Transfer to the oven to bake for 15-20 minutes or until the eggs are cooked to your taste.
