These radishes are pan fried until caramelized and golden with sweet maple flavored syrup, spicy chili flakes, crunchy sesame seeds and aromatic scallions.
These make a great side to grilled meats or protein of your choice.
Ingredients
- 10 ½ ounce radish
- 2 small – 3" long scallions
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ tablespoon maple flavored syrup by lakanto
- ½ teaspoon hot chili pepper, dried, with seeds
- ½ teaspoon, whole pieces sesame seeds
- ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Slice the radishes into halves discarding the tops and tips. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over a medium heat and add the radishes. Pan fry for 5-6 minutes until fork tender.
- Add the chili flakes, sesame oil, syrup, sesame seeds, salt and pepper. Finely chop the scallion and add to the skillet.
- Stir to combine and cook for a minute more or until the radishes are tender and golden.
