These spicy shrimp skewers pack a punch! This recipe is great for enjoying as a snack paired with lemon or your favorite seafood dipping sauce. You may also choose to skewer keto-friendly veggies to turn this into a full meal.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon sambal oelek paste of chili by rooster
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice, fresh
- ¼ teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon garlic, fresh
- 8 large shrimp raw
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper, ground
Instructions
- In a small bowl, melt your butter. Whisk the chili sauce, lemon juice, worcestershire, and garlic into the butter. Set this aside.
- Peel and devein your shrimp. Butterfly each piece before sprinkling the salt and pepper over them.
- Set 4 shrimp onto each skewer. Then, use a marinade brush to spread the spicy butter sauce over all the shrimp. Set the shrimp skewers on a plate and marinate in your refrigerator for 1 hour. You may also choose to continue straight on to the next step.
- Preheat an oven to 375 degrees. Line a sheet tray with aluminum foil and set a cooking rack on top of the sheet tray. Lay the shrimp skewers across the rack and bake for 25 minutes – no rotating necessary.
- Serve the hot shrimp skewers with lemon wedges for squeezing!
