These spicy shrimp skewers pack a punch! This recipe is great for enjoying as a snack paired with lemon or your favorite seafood dipping sauce. You may also choose to skewer keto-friendly veggies to turn this into a full meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon sambal oelek paste of chili by rooster
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice, fresh
  • ¼ teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic, fresh
  • 8 large shrimp raw
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper, ground

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, melt your butter. Whisk the chili sauce, lemon juice, worcestershire, and garlic into the butter. Set this aside.
  2. Peel and devein your shrimp. Butterfly each piece before sprinkling the salt and pepper over them.
  3. Set 4 shrimp onto each skewer. Then, use a marinade brush to spread the spicy butter sauce over all the shrimp. Set the shrimp skewers on a plate and marinate in your refrigerator for 1 hour. You may also choose to continue straight on to the next step.
  4. Preheat an oven to 375 degrees. Line a sheet tray with aluminum foil and set a cooking rack on top of the sheet tray. Lay the shrimp skewers across the rack and bake for 25 minutes – no rotating necessary.
  5. Serve the hot shrimp skewers with lemon wedges for squeezing!
