About

An expertly prepared filet of cod can turn any seafood-hater into a lover. This cod recipe is dripping with a deliciously seasoned butter sauce. Each bite is flaky and practically melts in your mouth. Loads of fresh dill staves off any “fishy” taste and also makes your dinner beautiful to look at!

Ingredients

  • 10 ounce cod, cooked from fresh
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon dill weed, fresh
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 wedge yields lemon juice raw

Instructions

  1. Preheat an oven to 375 degrees. Spray a baking dish not much larger than the fish you are preparing. Place the fish filets in the dish, and sprinkle the salt and pepper over the fish.
  2. Melt the butter in your microwave. Chop the dill and garlic, and stir them into the melted butter. Then, brush half of the butter mixture over the fish.
  3. Loosely cover the dish with foil, leaving the foil vented. Bake the fish for 30 minutes.
  4. After baking, brush the remaining dill-butter over the cooked fish. Set the uncovered baking dish under the broiler, and cook the fish until the garlic and edges of the fish start to brown slightly – 5 to 10 minutes.
  5. Serve the fish with lemon wedges and enjoy!
