Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, fresh
- 1 cup black olives
- ½ tablespoon lemon juice
- ¼ cup, whole pieces basil, fresh
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over a low/medium heat. Thinly slice the garlic and add to the pan, sweating gently until tender and fragrant.
- Drain the olives of any preserving liquid and then add to the skillet with the garlic. Pan fry over a medium heat for 5 minutes to warm through.
- Add the lemon juice and basil leaves to the skillet and pan fry for a minute more until the olives are lightly golden and the basil has wilted. Serve hot or cooled.
