The main course to your meal can be prepared in under 10 minutes, leaving the time in the oven for preparing your side dish(es). Cod is seasoned with a blend of spices, including smoked paprika and worcestershire sauce, before wrapped in smoked bacon of your choice. Make sure to read the nutrition label of your bacon to avoid added sugar for “applewood” flavoring or other bacon flavors.

Ingredients

  • 4 slice – 6" long smoked bacon
  • 6 oz cod atlantic raw
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon onion powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon gourmet collection smoked paprika by mccormick
  • ½ teaspoon worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat an oven to 400 degrees. On a flat surface, arrange 2 long strips of bacon per piece of 3 oz cod. Set the cod fillets over the bacon strips as pictured.
  2. Sprinkle all seasonings and the worcestershire sauce over the cod. Wrap the strips of bacon around the cod, tucking the ends of the strips under the fish. Transfer the wrapped fish to a sheet tray lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bacon the tray for 30 minutes or until the bacon is crispy to your liking. No flipping or rotating necessary!
