These chili beef pittas are mildly spiced and topped with cooling sour cream and grated cheddar – perfect for a hot lunch option!

Ingredients
- 7 ounce hamburger or ground beef, 90% lean
- 2 servings (per pita) keto pitta bread
- 2 tablespoon sour cream
- 2 tablespoon, grated cheddar cheese, natural
- 1 medium – 4 1/8" long scallions or spring onions, tops and bulb, raw
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin, ground
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon spices coriander seed or ground
- ½ teaspoon garlic, powder
- ¼ cup beef broth, bouillon or consomme, ready-to-serve can, low sodium
- ¼ cup tomato, canned
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the beef, cooking until browned all over.
- Add the spices, stock and tomatoes and stir well to combine. Bring to a simmer, cooking until the liquid has reduced right down and the beef is cooked through.
- Divide the beef between two of the pitta breads, topping each with sour cream, grated cheese and sliced scallions.
