About

Don’t let the prep time confuse you – all you need to do to have a frozen coffee treat is make coffee ice cubes in advance! Once they’re frozen, simply blend them into your cold coffee to emulate your favorite coffee-house beverage. Bump your frappe up with a Keto whipped cream!

Can you use this Keto recipe to prepare flavored frappe?

Of course, you can! This Keto beverage is delicious as is, but it doesn't hurt to shake the flavors up a bit. Prepare this recipe as is, and add your flavoring of choice to the blender with the remaining ingredients. To make a Keto mocha frappe, add 2 tsp of cocoa powder to the blende and for a Keto pumpkin spice frappe, add 2 tbsp of unsweetened pumpkin puree and ½ tsp pumpkin spice. For a Keto caramel frappe, add 2 tbsp of sugar-free caramel or 1 tsp vanilla extract for a vanilla frappe. The options are endless.

Can you adapt this recipe to a vegan diet?

Absolutely! Simply swap the heavy cream for coconut milk or coconut cream, and you're good to go.

What type of coffee can you use for this recipe?

To make this delicious Keto coffee recipe, you will need good quality brewed coffee. Please don’t skimp on the quality of coffee, as it will make a huge difference in flavor. You can also use instant coffee dissolved in water if that's all you have.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup black coffee
  • ½ tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon stevia in the raw, bakers bag

Instructions

  1. Brew your black coffee. Pour half the coffee into an ice cube tray. Set the ice cubes to freeze and set the remaining coffee in your refrigerator to cool.
  2. Once the coffee ice cubes have frozen, place them in a blender. Add the cold coffee, heavy cream, and stevia. You can add the flavors you desire at this step.
  3. Blend your iced coffee. To thicken your coffee to the ‘frappe’ frozen-ice-style, blend in ice cubes 1 or 2 at a time to your desired thickness. Serve immediately.
