This fuss-free meal is cooked in one pan creating minimal mess and very little washing up! This is a great option for weeknights when you are short on time or when you are in need of a speedy lunch option.

Can I Use a Different Protein?

We have used sliced flank steak for our easy beef stir fry. This is a great option for maximum flavor and quick cooking. If you prefer, you can use an alternative cut of beef, pork or chicken thigh strips for your stir fry. If you are using an alternative meat such as pork or chicken, you will need to adjust your cooking times to ensure the meat is completely cooked through as they will not cook as quickly as the beef.

Ingredients

  • 9 ounce beef flank steak
  • 2 large scallions
  • 1 tablespoon tamari sauce
  • 1 medium – 2 1/2" diameter x 2 3/4" red bell peppers, raw
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the flank steak into thin half-inch strips. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over a medium/high heat. Add the steak strips. Stir fry the beef, cooking in the hot oil until lightly browned all over.
  2. Thinly slice the bell pepper and scallions. Once the beef is just browned, add the bell pepper and scallions to the skillet. Stir well and pan fry for 2-3 minutes more until the vegetables start to soften just a little and brown at the edges. You may add more oil or a splash of water if the pan looks a little dry.
  3. Add the tamari sauce to the skillet. Stir well to coat the beef and vegetables in the sauce. Cook for a minute more then remove from the heat. Serve with your preferred Keto Asian inspired sides.
