These Cajun spiced koftas are flavored with aromatic thyme, oregano, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic and onion, then oven baked until golden.

These make a great dinner option served with cauliflower rice, steamed vegetables or a hearty salad.

Ingredients

  • 9 ounce ground pork
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper (cayenne), ground
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 1 teaspoon gourmet collection smoked paprika by mccormick
  • ½ small white onion
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly oil a shallow oven tray.
  2. Very finely chop the onion and crush the garlic. Add to a mixing bowl along with the ground pork, herbs, spices, salt and pepper. Use your hands to mix together until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 10 even portions and mold into small oblongs with your hands. Arrange across the prepared oven tray.
  4. Transfer to the oven and bake for 15 minutes or until completely cooked through and golden brown all over.
