These diced steak bites are coated in a Cajun spiced tomato marinade; quickly pan fried until golden brown on the outside and tender in the middle.

This is a versatile recipe perfect for serving with rice, zucchini noodles or in lettuce wraps!

Ingredients

  • 14 ounce beef steak, sirloin, no visible fat eaten
  • 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon gourmet collection smoked paprika by mccormick
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper (cayenne), ground
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Dice the steak into bite sized chunks and add to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the tomato purée, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, oregano, salt and pepper to a small mixing bowl. Stir together well to combine.
  3. Spoon the tomato mixture over the beef and use your hands to coat thoroughly in the marinade. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat the remaining olive oil in a frying pan over a high heat. Add the coated steak pieces and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side or until cooked to preference.
