These jumbo pork meatballs are filled with a cream cheese, parmesan and basil center and baked until golden.

These are great served with a hearty salad or a portion of zucchini noodles.

Ingredients

  • 17 ½ ounce ground pork
  • 3 tablespoon cream cheese spread
  • 2 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1 tablespoon basil, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon, grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Add the ground pork to a mixing bowl along with the oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix well with your hands to combine.
  3. Divide the pork mince into 8 even portions and flatten into patties with your hands across a shallow oven tray.
  4. Add the cream cheese and parmesan to a mixing bowl. Finely chop the basil and add to the bowl along with a pinch of black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  5. Place a heaped teaspoon of cream cheese in the center of each patty.
  6. Carefully mold the edges of the pork up around the cream cheese filling, securing it in the center.
  7. Transfer to the oven to bake for 18-20 minutes or until the pork is golden and completely cooked through.
