About
Ah, meatloaf: the tried and true meal that pulls every American through the week. Whether you’re meal prepping or feeding a whole family, you’ll enjoy this meatloaf because it’s tender, flavorful, and has a thick, sticky sauce on top. Set your meal in the Crock Pot and forget about it!
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chuck 80% lean 20% fat by kroger
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon caraway seed
- 1 large raw egg
- ¼ cup, shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- ½ tablespoon mayo
- 1 clove garlic
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper by simply organic
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the ground chuck, salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, caraway seed, egg, and parmesan.
- Press the meatloaf into a crock pot. Pack it down gently to fill the whole basin without making the meat too dense. Then, use a toothpick or skewer to create several holes through the meatloaf. This helps the cooking consistency and avoid shrinking.
- In a new, small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients into a sauce. Spread the sauce over the entire top of the meatloaf.
- Cook the meatloaf on high heat for 4 hours. This gives enough time for the edges to turn a dark golden brown.
- Once the meatloaf has finished cooking, slice it in half lengthwise, then slice it into 5 sections, making 10 pieces total.
- Enjoy!
