These slow cooked chicken wings are coated in a rich sauce of tomato, tamari sauce, maple flavored syrup, chilli powder, onion and garlic.

These are perfect served with a side of cauliflower rice or green beans.

Ingredients

  • 17 ½ ounce chicken wing, skin eaten
  • 2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 ½ tablespoon tamari sauce
  • 1 tablespoon maple flavored syrup by lakanto
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ small red onion

Instructions

  1. Add the chicken wings to the base of the crockpot.
  2. Thinly slice the garlic and onion and scatter over the chicken. Add the lakanto, tamari, tomato purée, sesame oil and chili powder. Stir well to combine.
  3. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and mix well to coat the wings. Cover and cook on high for two to three hours until piping hot and cooked through. Serve with the pan sauce.
