These sweet and smokey chicken kebabs are basted in maple flavored syrup and smokey paprika, then oven baked until golden.

These make for a quick and easy dinner or lunch served with a side salad or cauliflower mash.

Ingredients

  • 11 ounce chicken breast fillets by homestyle kitchen
  • 2 teaspoon gourmet collection smoked paprika by mccormick
  • 1 tablespoon maple flavored syrup by lakanto
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cover four wooden kebab skewers with water and set aside to soak for 20 minutes whilst you prepare the chicken.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to a large bowl along with the syrup, oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Rub the seasonings all over the fillets so they are well coated. Set aside until the skewers are ready.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Divide the chicken meat evenly between the soaked skewers.
  5. Arrange across a shallow oven tray, brushing with any excess marinade. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until golden and the chicken is completely cooked through.
