About

These kebabs may be simple but they are packed with strong, bold flavors. From the sweet tangy balsamic vinegar, to the hot mustard, they are guaranteed to bring a little excitement to the dinner table!

Although the recipe calls for 1/2 a tablespoon of mustard, feel free to use 1 if you fancy an extra kick! The recipe also calls for 1/2 pound of sirloin steak which can either be purchased ready diced or you will need to dice the steak yourself into 1.5 inch pieces.

These kebabs are oven grilled but could be oven baked or placed on the BBQ.

Ingredients

  • ½ pound sirloin steak
  • 1 medium zucchini
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ tablespoon dijon mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Dice the zucchini into ½ inch discs or wedges and crush the garlic. Add both to a large mixing bowl with the diced sirloin, olive oil, mustard, and balsamic vinegar.
  2. Using your hands, massage the seasonings in to the steak, cover and marinade in the fridge for 1 hour.
  3. Whilst the mixture is marinating, place 4 wooden kebab skewers in water to soak so that they do not catch in the oven.
  4. Dividing the marinated mixture evenly, thread the steak pieces on to the kebab skewers and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Heat the grill to high and grill for 15 minutes or until cooked to taste, turning frequently.
