These quick and easy pork noodles are loaded with flavor from warming spices and salty tamari sauce and aromatic herbs.
This is a great option for weekday dinners.
Ingredients
- 9 ounce ground pork
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 slice – 1" diameter ginger
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon hot chili pepper, dried, with seeds
- 1 large scallions
- 1 teaspoon lime juice, fresh
- 1 tablespoon cilantro
- 1 tablespoon tamari sauce
- ½ small – head – approx 4 1/2" diameter cabbage
Instructions
- Crush the garlic and grate the ginger. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over a medium heat. Add the ginger and garlic and sweat gently until tender.
- Slice the tough core from the cabbage and discard any wilted outer leaves. Thinly slice the cabbage and chop the scallions into 1 inch chunks. Add to the pan along with the pork. Stir well to combine. Pan fry until the pork is just cooked through.
- Add the chili flakes, lime juice and tamari. Stir well and cook for a minute more or until the cabbage is tender.
- Scatter with chopped fresh cilantro to serve.
