About

Oh, who doesn’t love ribs? You don’t need an outdoor grill to get perfectly smokey and crispy finger food! Using a lot of healthy fat and a hot oven, you can have ribs that have a crunch on the outside and are pull-a-part tender on the inside. You may not want to share this recipe with another!

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ tablespoon gourmet collection smoked paprika by mccormick
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper (cayenne), ground
  • 1 ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 1 ½ pound pork ribs
  • ½ tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne, garlic, and thyme.
  2. Prepare the rack of ribs on a flat, clean surface. Rub the ribs down with olive oil. Then, apply the spice mix to the top of the ribs. Use your fingers to rub the spices into the meat.
  3. Tightly wrap the seasoned ribs in aluminum foil. Place the ribs in the refrigerator. Allow them to marinate for up to 12 hours, but preferably overnight.
  4. When ready to cook the ribs, preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Without unwrapping the ribs, place them, foil and all, in the oven. Let the ribs cook for about 3 hours. After baking, remove the ribs from the foil and place them in a sprayed baking pan. Slice a tablespoon of butter into 4-5 slices, and place them on top of the ribs.
  5. Turn the oven heat up to 375 degrees. Place the tray of ribs, uncovered, in the oven. Bake the ribs for about 25 minutes or until the tops of the ribs are browned and crispy.
  6. Allow the ribs to cool slightly before eating. Enjoy!
