This high-fat sauce is delicious with fish but also pairs well with a chicken dish. Spoon it over your proteins or even vegetables to add fat and a bright flavor to your keto meal!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter, unsalted
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ tablespoon pickle juice
- 1 ½ teaspoon baking aids xanthan gum by bob's red mill
- ¼ cup whipping cream, extra heavy/gourmet, not whipped
- 1 tablespoon dill weed, fresh
- ⅛ teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- On a stove top over low heat, melt the butter in a small skillet. Whisk in the chicken broth, pickle juice, and xanthan. Whisk over low heat until the liquid begins to thicken.
- Whisk in the remaining ingredients. Bring the sauce to a simmer and whisk until the sauce thickens to a cream sauce. The original recipe here reduces to about ½ cup total.
