This high-fat sauce is delicious with fish but also pairs well with a chicken dish. Spoon it over your proteins or even vegetables to add fat and a bright flavor to your keto meal!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter, unsalted
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ tablespoon pickle juice
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking aids xanthan gum by bob's red mill
  • ¼ cup whipping cream, extra heavy/gourmet, not whipped
  • 1 tablespoon dill weed, fresh
  • ⅛ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. On a stove top over low heat, melt the butter in a small skillet. Whisk in the chicken broth, pickle juice, and xanthan. Whisk over low heat until the liquid begins to thicken.
  2. Whisk in the remaining ingredients. Bring the sauce to a simmer and whisk until the sauce thickens to a cream sauce. The original recipe here reduces to about ½ cup total.
