Ingredients

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 ¼ teaspoon baking aids xanthan gum by bob's red mill
  • 1 tablespoon sherry cooking wine by holland house
  • 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar replacement by swerve

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients and mix with a whisk to smooth any lumps of xanthan gum.
  2. To add the garlic and ginger, be sure to use a fine grater like a microplane to make it very fine. You can decide if you want to strain the mixture after it thickens.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil and then down to a simmer. Simmer like this for 5 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
  4. Decide if you want to strain the sauce or not. If you do want to strain the sauce, place a strainer over a bowl and pour the sauce through the strainer. Use a spatula to push the sauce through. Use immediately or store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to two weeks.
