These quick and easy keto mushrooms are pan fried with zesty lemon, aromatic garlic and fiery chili flakes until tender and golden.

These make a great side to pork, chicken or fish.

Ingredients

  • 8 medium mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot chili pepper, dried, with seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Clean and quarter the mushrooms. Heat the oil in a skillet over a medium heat. Cook the mushrooms for 2 minutes to soften a little.
  2. Thinly slice the garlic and add to the skillet along with the lemon juice, chili flakes, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine and cook gently for 2-3 minutes more or until the mushrooms are soft and golden and the garlic is tender.
