This hefty side dish adds a healthy portion of protein and fat to your meal. If your main dish is lacking some fat, include this recipe to bulk up your macros. This also makes a great low-carb snack when you need an energy boost in the day.

Ingredients

  • 3 ⅓ ounce ground mild italian sausage by archer farms
  • ¾ cup cauliflower rice
  • ¼ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Break up ground sausage in a pan and cook over medium heat. Cook the sausage until it is mostly browned all over and broken up into crumble bits.
  2. Toss the cauliflower rice in the pan with the salt, onion powder, and paprika. Stir and cook the rice until excess moisture has evaporated and the rice turns golden brown with the sausage.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and melt the butter in the pan. Once the butter has coated all the ingredients, remove from the stove and serve.
