These simple keto sprouts are pan fried with lemon juice, sesame oil and sesame seeds until crisp and golden.

Perfect served with an Asian inspired main or as the base for a warm salad.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup brussels sprouts, raw
  • 2 teaspoon, whole pieces sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the ends from the sprouts and discard. Thinly slice the sprouts. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over a medium heat. Add the sprouts and lemon juice and cook for 2-3 minutes until tender and crisp at the edges.
  2. Add the sesame oil and sesame seeds and stir well to combine, cooking for a minute or two more until golden.
