Who can resist the savory combo of bacon and cheddar cheese? Baked into a perfect cheese crisp, this is a great keto snack! Dip your crisps into sour cream or a keto guacamole, or enjoy as is!
Ingredients
- 2 slice – 6" long bacon
- 8 tablespoon, shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees and line a small sheet pan with parchment paper. Cook 2 strips of bacon to a crisp (crispy bacon is needed for this recipe). After allowing the bacon to cool for a couple minutes, chop it into bacon bits.
- On the sheet tray, arrange 8 tablespoons of shredded cheddar into 8 discs. Spread the cheese out into thin layers, but don’t let the edges touch each other.
- Sprinkle the bacon bits over the center of each cheese circle.
- Bake the cheese crisps for 6-7 minutes, or until the cheese has completely melted and bubbled, and turns lightly golden. You may want to leave your oven light on and keep a close eye on the cheese crisps to avoid burning. Enjoy once the cheese crisps have cooled and hardened!
