This sweet and savory snack combines crispy maple bacon with a tangy and creamy blue cheese dip.

This makes a great sharing snack or bbq side!

Ingredients

  • 4 slice – 6" long bacon
  • 1 tablespoon maple flavored syrup by lakanto
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, store bought
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon blue cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a shallow oven tray with baking paper. Dice the bacon into two-inch pieces and arrange across the lined oven tray. Brush the bacon with the lakanto syrup.
  2. Transfer to the oven to bake for 10-12 minutes until crisp and golden, then set aside to cool and crisp further.
  3. Whilst the bacon cools, add the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice and black pepper to a mixing bowl. Crumble in the blue cheese and stir well to combine.
  4. Serve the bacon chips with the blue cheese mayo for dipping.
