About

This tasty Keto cheese recipe makes a delicious savory snack, perfect for sharing. Our low carb recipe is prepared with tangy goat cheese, spreadable cream cheese, ground almonds, grated parmesan, a hint of garlic powder, and fragrant dried rosemary. Once prepared, the cheese mixture is coated in a Keto-friendly breading then frozen to firm up. The goat cheese balls are then oven-baked briefly to heat through until lightly golden on the outside.

Can I Cook These in An Air Fryer?

We have oven-baked our Keto cheese snack until lightly golden. If preferred, you may cook the goat cheese balls in an air fryer. Lightly spray the cheese balls with a little cooking oil and arrange them in the air fryer basket. Set the temperature to 400 and set the timer for 6 minutes. Check they are hot through and golden, cooking for longer if required.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz goat cheese
  • 3 ½ oz cream cheese spread
  • ⅓ cup, ground almonds, raw
  • 2 tbsp, grated parmesan cheese, dry (grated)
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary, dried
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add the cream cheese to a mixing bowl along with the goat cheese, garlic powder, and half the parmesan. Mash the cheeses together until well combined. Add the ground almonds, rosemary, the remaining parmesan, salt, and pepper to a separate small bowl. Mix well to combine.
  2. Divide the goat cheese mixture into 8 even-sized portions. Roll each portion into a ball. If your mixture is too soft to roll, refrigerate until firm enough to shape. Roll each ball in the seasoned crumb mixture so that it is liberally coated all over. Transfer the coated cheese balls to a freezer-proof dish or tray. Cover and freeze until firm for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Arrange the coated goat cheese balls across a shallow oven tray. Transfer to the oven to bake for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown all over. Keep an eye on them when cooking to ensure they cook through and brown but do not melt. Serve as a salad topper or alongside your favorite Keto dips.
