These keto breadsticks are doughy in the center and crisp on the outside, rich with cheese and aromatic herbs.
These are a great snack between meals, on their own, or for smothering in your favorite low carb dip!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon, whole pieces sesame seeds, hulled, dried
- 1 cup cauliflower rice
- 1 tablespoon, grated parmesan cheese
- 4 ounce food cupboard home baking almonds ground by sainsbury's
- 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1 small raw egg
- ½ cup, grated cheddar cheese
- ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Add the cauliflower rice to a small pan with a tablespoon of water. Cook gently for 2 minutes until just tender. Drain away any excess liquid and set aside to cool.
- Add the cauliflower to a food processor along with the ground almonds, cheddar, Parmesan, oregano, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and half the sesame seeds. Pulse well to combine.
- Add the egg and blend again to form a sticky dough.
- Transfer the dough to a bowl, cover and refrigerate for 10 minutes to firm up.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a shallow oven tray with baking paper.
- Divide the dough into 9 even portions and roll into long sausage shapes.
- Sprinkle the remaining sesame seeds over the breadsticks.
- Arrange the breadsticks across the lined oven tray and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown all over. Set aside to cool and firm a little.
