About

These nuts are are so delicious, spicy and citrusy!! They are so addicting and filling because of the healthy fats in the nuts. This flavor would be great on other nuts as well as the garlic habanero hardly as any carbs.

Ingredients

  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1 pepper chiles habanero by melissa's
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat an oven to 350 F. In a small saute pan, roast the garlic cloves and habanero on several sides until charred. This will take about 5-7 minutes over medium heat.
  2. Once cloves and chili are softened, place in a mortar and pestle and grind until it makes a smooth paste. This should be easy if the charring process was done correctly as the garlic and chili will be soft. If you don’t have a mortar and pestle, you can use a small food processor.

  4. Then add the macadamia nuts, toss to combine.
  5. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until the nuts are a nice golden brown. Let cool.
