These tender halloumi strips are seasoned with aromatic herbs and spices then wrapped in bacon and baked until golden.

These make a great sharing snack with a low carb tomato dip.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce halloumi by pittas
  • 8 slice – 6" long bacon
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1 teaspoon gourmet collection smoked paprika by mccormick
  • â…› teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly oil a shallow oven tray.
  2. Slice the halloumi into 8 even sized strips.
  3. Mix together the dried oregano, paprika and pepper. Sprinkle evenly over the halloumi slices and use your hands to rub the seasonings all over the cheese strips.
  4. Wrap each seasoned halloumi strip tightly with a slice of bacon.
  5. Arrange the bacon wrapped halloumi in a single layer across the greased oven tray and transfer to the oven to bake for 12-15 minutes or until the bacon is cooked through and golden brown all over.
