These tender halloumi strips are seasoned with aromatic herbs and spices then wrapped in bacon and baked until golden.
These make a great sharing snack with a low carb tomato dip.
Ingredients
- 8 ounce halloumi by pittas
- 8 slice – 6" long bacon
- 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1 teaspoon gourmet collection smoked paprika by mccormick
- â…› teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly oil a shallow oven tray.
- Slice the halloumi into 8 even sized strips.
- Mix together the dried oregano, paprika and pepper. Sprinkle evenly over the halloumi slices and use your hands to rub the seasonings all over the cheese strips.
- Wrap each seasoned halloumi strip tightly with a slice of bacon.
- Arrange the bacon wrapped halloumi in a single layer across the greased oven tray and transfer to the oven to bake for 12-15 minutes or until the bacon is cooked through and golden brown all over.
