Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoon, shredded colby jack cheese
  • ½ large – approx 4" – 6" long jalapeno peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees, and line a small sheet tray with parchment paper. Arrange 8 TB of shredded cheese into 8 discs on the tray. Spread the cheese out into thin layers, but don’t let the edges touch each other.
  2. Slice half a thick jalapeno into 8 thin rounds. You may remove the seeds if you wish. Lay a slice of jalapeno in the center of each cheese disc.
  3. Bake the cheese crisps in the oven for 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden brown. The jalapeno slices will naturally sink into the center of each crisp.
  4. Let the crisps cool and harden before snacking!
