Mozzarella balls are a healthy snack that you can enjoy alone or pair with a larger snack! Choose whole-milk mozzarella to get the full fat nutrition. By adding fresh basil, fresh oregano, fresh garlic, and just a sprinkle of crushed red pepper, you can make your mozzarella snack very flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cheese mozzarella whole milk
  • 3 leaf basil
  • 2 1 teaspoon oregano fresh
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper by simply organic
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 ¼ cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. If necessary, drain any water or oil from the mozzarella balls. Chop the basil, oregano, and garlic. Combine these and the red pepper with the mozzarella balls in a bowl.
  2. Transfer the mozzarella and all the seasonings to a 12 oz. jar. Fill the jar with the olive oil, and seal the jar.
  3. Refrigerate the mozzarella for at least 12 hours. The longer the mozzarella can marinate, the more flavor will develop!
