Marinated olives are so delicious and are a great appetizer to have when guests come over. They can be made ahead of time and served with keto almond crackers. Great for the holidays!

Ingredients

  • 7 ounce pitted kalamata olives by mezzetta
  • 3 ounce feta cheese
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, ground
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes by 365
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest by tesco
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon, chopped parsley, fresh
  • 4 clove garlic

Instructions

  1. Mix the kalamata olives and feta cheese together.
  2. Then add the olive oil and all the spices. Zest some lemon zest into the bowl, about a teaspoon along with some fresh lemon juice (2 teaspoons). Chop some fresh parsley and slice fresh garlic and add that to the bowl. Mix well.
  3. Place olives and feta in the refrigerator and let it marinate at least 24 hours up to 7 days. The more days the better in terms of allowing the flavors to mingle and saltiness of olives to decrease.
