About

Forget the prepping a day ahead. Forget having to roll out pizza dough. Forget picking a slice that all the toppings and cheese fall off of. Turn your favorite pizza into a delicious, triple-layer dip! First, the dip is made with a marinara-flavored based that is thick and bubbling out of the oven. On top are layers of minced mushrooms, sliced pepperoni, and plenty of melted cheese. There is room to play here, so choose your favorite toppings to add on top of the marinara base. Switch the pepperoni out for shredded chicken or crumbled Italian sausage. You may also add any additional spices you’d like to the dip’s base, such as fresh garlic, basil, or oregano.

What To Dip In Your Dip

Okay, the dip is made, now what? Carb Manager has a variety of snack recipes perfect for pairing with dips, depending on your taste preferences. Try the popular Bacon Chips recipe that crisps up quickly in your oven. If you’re keeping things vegetarian, opt-in for any of Carb Manager’s Garlic Bread recipes. Choose from thick-cut garlic toast or takeout-style thin-crust garlic breadsticks. Cheese Crisps, Crackers, and Parmesan Cups all make great finger foods as well. If your macros can spare a few extra carbs, good old-fashioned bell pepper strips, mushroom caps, or broccoli florets can be dipped into this pizza dip too.

My Pizza Dip Isn’t Very Red In Color

With less than ⅛ cup marinara sauce per serving, you’re saving yourself a lot of un-Keto carbohydrates! Just a touch of marinara adds the tomato flavor you need to complete the pizza taste in every bite of dip. To thicken your marinara sauce base, you’ll need to use Keto-friendly cream cheese. Cream cheese is amazing for dip recipes because they add that touch of tangy, salty flavor, but it also thickens up considerably as the dip cools. It’s thanks to the cream cheese that you can load this triple layer pizza dip up with all your favorite toppings. So feel free to turn triple layers into quadruple, quintuple, or more!

Ingredients

  • 4 ounce cream cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup marinara or spaghetti sauce commercially prepared
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 2 ¼ ounce brown mushrooms (italian or crimini mushrooms), raw, high in vitamin d
  • 1 ¾ ounce pepperoni
  • 2 slice (from pre-sliced package) – each 3/4 ounce mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoon, shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Melt the cream cheese in a pot over low heat. Once the cream cheese is melted, whisk the cream, marinara sauce, pepper, and italian seasoning into the pot. When the sauce is whisked completely together and bubbling hot, pour it into a 7×5 inch glass baking dish.
  2. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees. Layer on top of the dip a layer of minced mushrooms and a layer of sliced pepperoni. On top of that, layer mozzarella cheese sliced into strips and sprinkle the parmesan over everything. Bake the dish, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
