About

Much like the Cheesy Cheddar Puffs, this is a simple snack to add fat to your day! Since such a small amount of ham and cheese is used per serving, you can substitute in your favorite combos without affecting your macros. Try turkey and swiss or roast beef and mozzarella cheesy puffs!

Ingredients

  • 2 servings low carb fathead dough
  • 1 ½ ounce cheddar cheese, natural
  • 1 medium slice – 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 1/16" – each 0.75 ounce deli ham
  • ½ large raw egg, white
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper, ground

Instructions

  1. *Please have a half-recipe of the Carb Manager Low Carb Fathead Dough prepared and cold before continuing. When you’re ready to assemble this recipe, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Shape your fathead dough into 6 equally portioned spheres. Cut your cheddar cheese into 6 equally sized cube as well. Trim away the edges of a slice of ham to create a rectangular slice before cutting it into 6 even pieces.
  3. One by one, wrap a piece of ham around a cheese cube and press it into a fathead dough sphere. Press the dough gently around the ham and cheese until all dough spheres are filled. Arrange the spheres on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper.
  4. Dip a pastry brush or marinating brush into an egg white and brush it over each sphere. Top the spheres off with a pinch of black pepper before setting in the oven to bake for 25-30 minutes. Enjoy warm!
