A juicy, stuffed olive can really hit the spot! Feta stuffed olives make an excellent snack or side dish to your meal. The olive oil marinating the olives is loaded with fresh spices and herbs. The saltiness of the feta cheese cuts the richness, making for an addictive finger food! If this recipe is too large for you, halving it should do the trick!

Ingredients

  • 4 ounce feta cheese
  • 6 10 large green olives
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ½ tablespoon rice vinegar by kikkoman
  • 1 ½ cup water
  • 2 tsp, ground spices oregano dried
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes by 365
  • 2 teaspoon spices mustard seed yellow
  • ¼ ounce basil fresh

Instructions

  1. Prepare the olives by draining any liquid. Set aside a clean jar that can be filled completely by the olives. Additionally, prepare the feta cheese by chopping it into approximate ¼ X 1-inch rectangles for stuffing.
  2. Stuff all the olives with the feta cheese, and place them in the jar.
  3. Combine the olive oil, vinegar, water, oregano, red pepper, and mustard seed in a bowl. Place the fresh basil leaves on top of the olives, and pack it down very gently. Then, pour the liquid mixture over the olives, making sure all the ingredients are covered by the liquid.
  4. Close the jar lid tightly. Allow the stuffed olives to marinate in a refrigerator for at least 6 hours, but overnight would be best. The longer the olives can marinate, the more flavor will develop!
