These quick and easy Brussels sprouts are pan fried with sweet red onion, maple flavored syrup and smoky paprika until tender.
These make a great side to BBQ meats or protein of your choice.
Ingredients
- 2 cup brussels sprouts, raw
- 2 teaspoon gourmet collection smoked paprika by mccormick
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon maple flavored syrup by lakanto
- ½ medium – 2 1/2" diameter red onion
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Thinly slice the sprouts discarding the tough bases and any wilted outer leaves. Thinly slice the onions. Heat the oil in a skillet over a medium heat and add the sprouts, onion, syrup, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
- Pan fry for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender and golden.
