About
Making homemade calamari could not be easier. If you can find squid rings or a frozen calamari mix in your grocery store, you’re good to go! Simply “shake and bake” this recipe for an easy appetizer or snack for two.
Ingredients
- 6 ounce raw squid rings by tesco
- 4 tablespoon almond flour
- 3 tablespoon, shredded parmesan cheese
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon oregano, dried
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 400 degrees and line a sheet tray with parchment paper. Pat your squid rings dry between paper towels. If needed, chop your calamari into smaller pieces (no whole octopus here if you use a calamari mix). Arrange the pieces in a ziploc bag. Sprinkle the remaining seasonings into the ziploc bag. Seal shut and shake the bag until all the calamari is coated in breading.
- Spread the breaded pieces out over the tray. Bake for 25 minutes, tossing about halfway through.
- At your discretion, enjoy with marinara sauce and fresh lemon juice.
