Ingredients
- 1 pound mussel, raw
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 1 teaspoon oregano fresh
- 4 teaspoon thyme fresh
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup, shredded parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Make sure all your mussels have been cleaned and rinsed. Place the mussels in a large pot, so they can cover the bottom without piling on top of each other. Add in the chicken broth, fresh oregano sprigs, and thyme sprigs.
- Cover the pot and bring the pot to a strong simmer. Remove the lid, and continue simmering the pot for about 5 minutes so the broth reduced slightly. Then, transfer the mussels and herbs to a clean serving plate. Leave the broth in the pot.
- Turn the stove’s heat down to low. Melt the butter into the broth. Then, gently stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
- When the liquid is heated through and emulsified, stir in the parmesan cheese. Once the cream sauce has thickened, pour it over the mussels for serving. Enjoy!
