This simple yet flavorsome pulled turkey is easy to prepare and the slow cooker does all the hard work for you.

This is perfect served with steamed or roasted vegetables and makes a great alternative turkey recipe for the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1 small – from 11 to 13 pound turkey turkey drumstick with skin
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 1 tbsp sage. fresh
  • 4 1 x sprig rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon, chopped thyme, fresh
  • ¼ teaspoon salt, sea salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅓ cup chicken broth, bouillon or consomme, homemade

Instructions

  1. Season the turkey all over with salt and pepper and add to the slow cooker.
  2. Mince the garlic and add to the slow cooker along with the fresh herbs and chicken stock. Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours until tender and falling off the bone.
